In addition to annual gifts, The Summit Center relies on leadership gifts to achieve its mission of making lives better. Leadership gifts, donations of $1,000 or more, have the greatest impact on the individuals we serve.

Kara Lee, M.S., CFRE
Education: Bachelor of Science, Canisius College | Master of Science in Childhood Education, Canisius College
First Year at Summit: 2019
What are your primary responsibilities at Summit? As Director of Development, I oversee Summit’s fundraising efforts, including donations, corporate sponsorships, grants, and special events. State and county funding do not provide the resources needed to effectively operate all of Summit’s valuable programs and services. I work closely with the development team, the CEO, and Board of Directors to close the gap.

Why do you do what you do? I love connecting new supporters to the incredible work that my colleagues do. Many people in our community do not realize the life-changing impact that Summit has on the children and adults we serve, and on their families.
