Troubleshooting the First 50 Days Workshop

Troubleshooting the First 50 Days Workshop

This training is designed for educators and other school personnel who may be faced with recurring challenging behaviors to begin the school year.   Its purpose is to allow time for participants to pause and reflect on their early successes, and on any challenges or barriers they have encountered during the beginning of the school year.

Much can be learned from the first 50 days to prevent challenging behaviors from becoming persistent, tolerated, or inappropriately accommodated.  Practical strategies, tools, and approaches will be offered to account for various student-, classroom-, and school-related factors so that challenging behaviors do not continue, while increasing participation, inclusion, and academic success.

It is encouraged that school-based “teams” attend, as it often takes a team to address and curtail challenging behaviors.
