Community Habilitation

Does your child have some challenging behaviors that make it hard to go out?

If your child needs a little extra help managing some behavioral or social concerns that prevent them and your family from going out in the community to eat, shop, or play, The Summit Center can help.

Our Community Habilitation program provides training for independence and daily living skills for individuals with developmental disabilities. A provider will work with your child regularly to develop a plan to help the individual acquire the desired skills, whether at home or in the community. Summit staff will also provide valuable autism resources for you. Specific goals or skills may need some help with include managing money, increasing positive social skills, teaching safety, and more.
